The Diagnostic Quality Improvement (QI) Repository is a publicly available resource intended to support sharing, learning, adaptation, and adoption of diagnostic QI interventions. The Repository is composed of a searchable database of SIDM DxQI Seed Grant recipients, SIDM-IHI Collaborative participants, and user submitted interventions. The interventions are categorized by diagnostic quality problem/error addressed, causative factor(s) when identified, type of intervention as well as different characteristics of the intervention such as type and size of the organization implementing and clinical setting. The descriptions of the interventions are submitted by health care professionals and researchers as means to share their work and the opportunity to receive feedback from others who have adopted their intervention. The primary focus of the Repository is clinical process improvements not products, devices, or services and inclusion in the repository should not considered endorsement.
Submitters agree to at least annually review and update content. Content will be designated as “archived” after two years if no update from either the submitter or other users has been made. This requirement is intended to ensure that the shared content is current with the latest insights from submitters and adopters. The “archived” designation is intended to denote that the information has not been updated or there have been no reported changes, improvements, or adaptations associated with the intervention from the submitter or adopters. Repository users will be able to learn about these interventions, contact the submitters with questions, and ultimately adopt and adapt the interventions in their own organizations. While there is no requirement, there is a reasonable collegial expectation for submitters respond to inquiries.
